Measurement Guide

Size Guide

Here are the 4 most important measurements for choosing the correct size:

Chest

Place the tape measure around the girl's chest and loosen it just enough so that you can fit one finger between the tape and the girl. It is measured correctly if we can turn the tape measure around the girl's body without it being tight. The girl must be able to breathe comfortably.

Waist

Place the tape measure around the body two fingers above the navel and loosen it just enough so that you can fit one finger between the tape and the girl. It is measured correctly if we can turn the tape measure around the girl's body without it being tight. The girl must be able to breathe comfortably.

Total Length

Measure from the base of the neck to the floor, in the front and with shoes on. TIP: Put a short-sleeved t-shirt on her. The exact point is at the neckline of the t-shirt, which will be two fingers above the collarbone. From that point at the neck of the t-shirt, let the tape measure fall down the front of the chest and the girl's tummy to the floor, with shoes on. HEIGHT: Measure from the head to the floor, with shoes on.

Height

To measure correctly, have the child stand straight against a wall wearing her communion shoes. Place a flat object (like a book) horizontally on top of her head. Mark where it meets the wall, then measure from that mark to the floor. This measurement, taken with shoes on, helps confirm the dress's overall proportions are right for her stature.

Instructions for choosing the size and how to place your order

  • To the chest and waist measurements, add 1 cm for every three months remaining until the communion. Always leave a one-centimeter margin on each side, or in other words, ensure you can fit one finger between the tape measure and the girl.
  • To the length, add 1 cm for every two months remaining until the communion. To take this measurement correctly, use the following tip: put a crew-neck t-shirt on the girl and take the measurement precisely from where the neck begins to the floor with shoes on. To this measurement, add approximately +2 to 4 cm if she will be wearing a can-can (crinoline).
  • With this calculation, we will have left sufficient margin for potential growth and we will know the measurements the girl will have for the communion date, allowing us to compare them with the measurements in the size chart. First, check the length; at minimum, it should be the size that covers the girl’s length. Then, verify that the body measurements for that size will fit, remembering that dresses can be let out by up to 5 cm.

Example: If in February a girl measures 68cm chest, 65cm waist, and 114cm length, and her communion is in 3 months:

  1. Chest: 68 + 1cm margin => COMMUNION CHEST 69cm.
  2. Waist: 65 + 1cm margin => COMMUNION WAIST 66cm.
  3. Total Length: 114 + 2cm (can-can) + 1.5cm margin (1cm per 2 months for 3 months is 1.5cm) => COMMUNION TOTAL LENGTH 117.5cm. SIZE 115
